Yann Arthus-Bertrand

Born in 1946, Yann Arthus-Bertrand was passionate quickly to the animal world and the preservation of natural areas. In 1981, he published with his wife Anne first book, Lions, after 3 years of study of the behavior of a family of lions in the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. It is also in this country, that balloon pilot, he discovers aerial photography.

Renamed great reportage photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand specializes in 1986 in aerial photography and started 9 years later, the Earth From Above. This image bank of the Earth seen from the sky, indivisible texts that accompany them, allowing through books and exhibitions to a wider audience to understand the challenges of sustainable development.

In 2003, he launched the project 6 Billion More and sends cameramen around the world to go out and meet the people who live in the places he photographed the sky.

In July 2005, he founded the association GoodPlanet.org whose purpose is to promote sustainable development through a number of projects such as the Agenda Carbone and posters school.

So that's the first article of my blog, and I will speak to you about one of my passions: photography. All started more than one year ago with the purchase of a bridge, I started to interest me in photography and immortalize pretty the landscapes of Normandy. Then I acquired a “professional” camera because I felt the limits of bridge.
During this year, I accumulated many photogtaphies on very different topics (landscapes, macrophotography, sports, concerts, monuments, animals, models : if you are interested I recruit STID for meetings photographs ^^ …)

France patrols

The Patrol of France is the official lifting patrol of the French Air Force. One often indicates it under the acronym of PAF (Lifting Patrol of France).

The program of the Patrol of France east (by tradition) renewed each year. Each program (determined by the leader of the patrol at the beginning of the season) is single in its kind of share the order of the figures and the use of the various formations. The emblematic figure of the patrol is the heart (in Y with 6 half-compartment of an arrow of smoke-producing of the two solos balances). The evolutions of the Patrol of France are done in formation, which comes down to saying that the 8 aircraft fly very close from/to each other (2 to 3 meters). These formations bear very special names which are often references or winks.

The planes of the Patrol of France present characteristic differences: painting blue-white-red, the smoke-producing pod which replaces the pod gun and a headlight in the nose were added for the needs for the Patrol.

First flight

I this article I will talt to you about my first flight by helicopter. It is a unique experience, it is magical. It was a month ago at the airfield of Dieppe. A few words on the helicopter. It is an Alouette II and it is light (no heavier than a car).

The pilot is an acquaintance of my father and to thank him for having done its advertising, he has offered eight places to visit Normandy sky. I was lucky to take advantage of one of these places. We have on board a former helicopter from the Air Force, and now it's red and blue. The pilot has left the choice of the route. We therefore chose to be on top of our house and then visit the coast, and back by inland.
The maximum speed is one hundred and heighty kilometers per hour but it’s not the same sensation that car, I was the impression of being at fifty kilometers per hour and in turn to remain mobile.

As you know, one of my hobbies is photography, so I could make pretty pictures, in spite of the fog at high altitude. It's really a must try for thrill-seekers.

Quad

The quad, or quadricycle , is a motorized vehicle not covered any ground, or two-seater car with four wheels. In Quebec, it means these vehicles by the acronym mountain biking, abbreviation vehicle. Initially oriented utility, the quad is increasingly used as all-terrain vehicle recreation, as its ease of driving a vehicle is available to all for the ride on the paths

Today, the quads were separated families :

-Quads recreation, ranging from 150 to 300 cm3, who won considerable success with families

-The quads athletes, often quads 2X4 to mechanical box over 250cm3 particularly comfortable with the races and enduro because the lack of rear differential enables controlled slides.

-Quads utilities, often with transmission 4X4 and an automatic transmission or drive, easily cross all kinds of terrain. The quads are poor differential ill-suited to the road.

The quad was introduced in France during the 1990's. Since then, he has continued to experience a boom growing. Today, the park is estimated at about 10000 units (of which nearly half in approved category). The curve of sales, all brands combined, continues to grow.
